Senior Project / Design Engineer
We are offering an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
Our new team member will have proven experience designing machinery within the FMCG industry and will be eager to take the next step into project management by working on the design of projects and then seeing them through to installation.
Above all else, we are looking for an ambitious, confident, team player with leadership qualities.

Role
You will be responsible for creating forward thinking, accurate and functional mechanical designs with consideration to project timelines and budgets as well as oversee the manufacture and commissioning of the project.

You will have the requisite ability, confidence and knowledge to:

Communicate in a clear and professional manner to customers both oral and written

Produce engineering designs on CAD using Creo software

Have a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement

Provide reporting and analysis to various levels of management
Skills Required
-
Bachelor of Engineering
-
5+ years Packaging experience within food and beverage industry
-
5+ years 3D Modelling experience
-
High level of interpersonal skills
-
The ability to manage competing and changing priorities
-
Proficiency in Windows-based administration applications
-
Proficiency in CAD using Creo Software
-
Proficiency in Windchill PLM Software
Your key responsibilities will include:
-
Produce engineering designs on CAD using Creo software
-
Detailed specifications for the production of equipment and work flows
-
Detailing of manufacturing systems and processing techniques
-
Provide input into process improvement
-
Project management of manufacturing processes to ensure timely completion of projects
-
Apply knowledge of Australian Standards to all designs
-
Contribute to the development of equipment including installation, commissioning, training and integration
-
Maintain drawings catalogues and product manuals
-
Liaise as required with clients regarding projects
-
Provide technical support to the sales and service teams
-
Liaison with manufacturing management
-
Team orientated work environment

Provide leadership and guidance to junior designers

Adhere, maintain and contribute to the continuous improvement of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
