FIBRE KING'S CONTRIBUTION TO PROPAK 2018

Fibre King’s packaging machines impress at Asia’s Number 1 international trade event for Food, Drink & Pharmaceutical Processing & Packaging Technology.

Once again Fibre King were proud to be a part of ProPak Asia, the number one international trade event for Food, Drink & Pharmaceutical Processing & Packaging Technology in Asia held on the 13th of June 2018 at the Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Thailand. This was Fibre King’s 6th year exhibiting at the trade show and the team were impressed with the innovations available in packaging as well as the continued increase in quality enquiries.

ProPak Asia is one of Fibre King’s preferred events; “Having a manufacturing facility in Rayong,

Thailand means that this event is the ideal platform to showcase the quality of our packaging machinery to the Asian market,” said Suren Moodley, Director of Fibre King Thailand. “Being located in Thailand gives us the opportunity to visit local production facilities and provide better solutions and service to our Asian customers. We also invite our customers to visit our manufacturing facility so that they can see firsthand, the quality of our workmanship.”

Fibre King’s Latest Robotic Innovation

This year Fibre King showcased their most recent robotic innovation that was designed and manufactured by the Thai team. “The three (3) axis articulated arm robot was presented in demonstration format at the event and is set to revolutionise the way in which we load cases and collate products,” said Suren. The robot was purpose designed for end of line packaging to minimise the machine footprint and is capable of a larger operating range than that of parallel arm kinematic systems. The robot allows for flexibility in both product handling and applications across case packing (RSC and WAP) and layer forming for palletising. The technology can be expanded for multi-head case packers.

Quality Machinery Manufactured in Thailand

The Fibre King stand also included a Top Load Case Packer designed to pack cracker biscuits made specifically for Griffin’s. Like all Fibre King equipment is was built tough to handle 24/7 operation and featured fast repeatable changeovers, open design for easy operator & maintenance access and flexible design with fully customisable features. “Receiving compliments for the quality of our machinery is always a highlight of the event,” said Eng Wai Ong, Sales Manager for Asia. “Most of our customers are surprised to learn that our machines are made locally.”

Fibre King’s CP20 Palletiser was also on the stand. Whilst being a more traditional mechanical Palletiser it was designed for reliable simplicity for facilities needing low-mid speed palletising. The robust, easy to maintain, easy to operate machine employs advanced pallet handling and high-level stacking resulting in the formation of tightly formed stacks and is capable of palletising all products packed in Cases, Tray and Shrink or just Shrink.

A Successful Event for Fibre King

ProPak Asia continues to deliver quality enquiries and innovations in packaging. Fibre King are already in planning for their exhibit next year that will include more robotic solutions for case packing. “We have a number of R&D projects underway that combine our extensive industry knowledge and excellent design skills to develop better solutions for our customers helping them create better production facilities. We are looking forward to ProPak Asia 2019 where we can showcase our newest innovations and catch up with new and existing customers,” says Suren.
